Annar Follesø: A Centennial Concert

Acclaimed Norwegian violinist Annar Follesø presents a concert celebrating the Centennial of Norwegian independence with a program of music by Norwegian and Swedish composers working at the time of the independence movement.  The winner of the violin prize at the international summer academy in Salzburg in 1998, Mr. Follesø is one of Norway's most talented and sought-after violinists. He has been praised by The Strad for his "firecracker virtuosity" and "magnificently rich and honeyed tone." Mr. Follesø will be accompanied by pianist Christian Ihle Hedland, a celebrated young artist who has been compared to Leif Ove Andsnes. The winner of many prestigious international prizes, the 23-year-old Mr. Hadland has performed as a soloist with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra.
