Two-time Iditarod winner Robert Sørlie reached Nome as number 12 in the 2007 Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska. Norwegian rookie Sigrid Ekran placed 21, the highest placement of any rookie and any woman.

Iditarod rookie Sigrid Ekran grew up in Norway , where she first started dog sledding. She spent her childhood on the family farm in Sparbu, Northern Trøndelag , where the family encouraged an active outdoor lifestyle. She has now entered her first Iditarod challenge.

Robert Sørlie won the worlds longest dog race, the Iditarod. This is his second win, he also won the race in 2003.  Robert Sørlie's nephew, Bjørnar Andersen, only 27 years old, took a sensational 4th place.

Norway's Bjørnar Andersen finished the Iditarod dog-sled race in an impressive 6th place. The other Norwegians on the starting grid, Tore Albrigtsen and Tove Sørensen, finished in 28th and 29th place respectively, a very solid result from the rookie couple.
