The Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce will celebrate their 90th Anniversary and present the NACC Achievement Award to Grete Waitz in New York on September 29.
The legendary Grete Waitz has been chosen as recipient of the NACC Achievement Award for 2005. The Award is presented to individuals whose accomplishments have set the standard of excellence in business, culture, exploration or sport, and whose personal conduct exemplifies the highest tradition of community service and involvement, Moreover, the NACC Achievement Award recipients have strengthened the bonds of friendship and commerce that exist between Norway and the United States of America. Grete Waitz fulfills – in abundance – all of the criteria set forth for the Achievement Award.
