Young people in New York will have the opportunity to go to Jones Beach this summer when the Norwegian Seamen's Church puts together its annual trips to the beach. This is a great chance for Norwegian New Yorkers to get out of the hot and humid Manhattan for a day.
The group from the church will drive up to Jones beach with its own bus, which has room for 15 people. The bus leaves at 11 a.m., and it will return to Manhattan at 7 p.m. The transportation is $5, or you can go by yourself and meet the rest of the group at Jones beach. The Norwegian group may also be joined by groups from the Swedish and Danish churches in New York City.
The trip will not take place if the weather is bad. Please call in advance to reserve a seat on the bus.
