Vesterheim Offers Workshops in Norway

Vesterheim will offer rosemaling, weaving, woodcarving, and knife-making workshops in Telemark, Norway, June 21-July 6, 1997.

The courses include eight days of classes with master teachers at Sør Norsk Økosenter, located on the edge of Fyresvatn Lake, just outside Fyresdal in Telemark. The workshops include a three-day weekend trip to Kristiansand, a trip to Norway’s capital city Oslo, and a chance to explore the coastal city of Stavanger. Thorough coverage of many high-quality museums--the Lårdal Bygdemuseum, Lågendals Museum, Vest-Agder Folk Museum at Kristiansand, and the Folk Museum for Telemark and Grenland at Skien--will also be included.
