German compensation to WWII forced laborers

As a former forced labourer under the Nazi Regime, you are now entitled to claim financial compensation through the International Organization for Migration (IOM) under a new German Forced Labour Compensation Law.

News of Norway, issue 2, 2001

The German Foundation Act recognizes that the injustice committed and the human suffering caused cannot be truly compensated by financial payments and that the Act comes too late for those who lost their lives as victims of the Nazi regime or have died in the meantime.

IOM will take care of claimants who are non-Jewish and who do not live in Belarus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the other republics of the former Soviet Union. If on 16 February 1999, you lived in one of these countries, please contact your closest Reconciliation Foundation. If you are Jewish, please contact the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

IOM will handle your claim free of charge. Eligible persons may receive up to DM 15,000. Deadline for applications is August 11, 2001. Please register your name and address/contact information with IOM as soon as possible. For persons residing in the United States, Canada or Caribbean please contact:
