"Ski for Light" 30th Anniversary
This all-volunteer, non-profit organization founded in 1975 by the Norwegian immigrant Olav Pedersen. He was inspired to create an American version of Ridderrennet, a norwegian ski event for the blind and disabled. The primary goal of the program is for adults with visual- or mobility-impairments, working in concert with volunteer Instructor/Guides, to learn the sport of cross-country skiing. The 2005 Ski for Light International Week will be held in Granby, Colorado, from Sunday, January 30th through Sunday, February 6th, 2005.
