Oslo Cathedral Choir performs at St. Thomas Church in New York

The Oslo Cathedral Choir was founded in 1982 and has 50 members. Through its concerts and recordings (Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Bruckner, Grieg, contemporary Norwegian church music, Christmas Carols, hymns), the choir has gained reputation as one of the best in the Nordic countries. The choir also sings regularly at services in Oslo Cathedral. The choir will perform a contemporary piece by the Norwegian composer Trond Kverno: Passio Domini Nostri Jesu Christi Secundum Matthaeum (St. Matthew Passion).
Soloists: Marianne E. Andersen, Marianne Hirsti, Njål Sparbo, Ian Partridge, Joseph Cornwell, David Martin, Jon English, Gabriel Crouch, Colin Campbell, Adrian Peacock. The choir is conducted by Terje Kvam, a highly skilled and experienced conductor with degrees in church music from Oslo and Stuttgart as well as a degree in theology.
