Travelling exhibition: Wergelands Legacy, The Nordic Museum, Seattle, WA

This exhibition tells the story of the Jewish population of Norway during the period from 1851 to the Second World War through photographs from private albums, interviews, and original artifacts owned by Norwegian Jewish families.

An American adaptation of an exhibition originated at the Norwegian Folk Museum in Oslo, Jewish Life and Culture in Norway: Wergeland's Legacy is based on extensive ethnographic research conducted as part of the Museum's "Norwegian-Jewish Documentation" Project.This national tour for the exhibition " Jewish Life and Culture in Norway: Wergeland’s Legacy" are devided into two versions. The smaller version will be presented in Seattle. Interested cultural and educational institutions should contact The American-Scandinavian Foundation if they would like to borrow the exhibition.

Admission: $6 adults, $5 seniors and college students, $4 children 5-17, children 4 and under: free.
