Norwegian Folk Music and Dance Workshop for Children

Join the world-renowned folk group Feleboga to learn about traditional Norwegian Dance from Telemark on October 4. Accompanied by a Hardanger Fiddle, the group will demonstrate and teach basic traditional steps.

Contributing to one of the most vibrant folk music scenes in Europe, Feleboga has been performing Norwegian rural dance music from the 18th and 19th centuries for more than ten years. Showcasing guitar, hardingfele fiddles and flutes, they will play traditional tunes, regional dances, ballads, and stev, short poetic songs that were often composed on-the-spot. In addition to concerts, Feleboga has given lectures and dance workshops throughout the United States, Asia and Europe and has collaborated with a number of world-class musicians.
