Dag Telhaug's Exhibition "Sailing North"

The exhibition "Sailing North" contains motifs from two different coastlines in Norway, Sørlandet in the south and Lofoten in the north.

Dag Telhaug is a Norwegian painter from Lindesnes, the uttermost southern point of Norway, a place with deep and strong connections to America. More people than actually live there today emigrated from this area to the USA throughout the last century. His ancestors being sailors and boat builders, Dag Telhaugs family background represent an important source of inspiration. The artist himself lives close to the sea – so close that during stormy days the water from the sea splashes over both his house and his studio.
Opening Reception: Thursday October 13, 6 - 8 pm.
When: Thursday, October 13 – Sunday, November 27.
Where: Trygve Lie Gallery, 317 East 52nd Street, NYC
