The Festival will be held at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds on June 17 to 19. This is the 38th festival in a row and the doors will open on Friday afternoon.
The festival kicks of for real on Friday evening with the selection and crowning of Miss Scandinavia 2005. From 8.30 pm until midnight one can join the crowned Queen at her ball where music will be provided by Chuck Berger and Diane Haggen.On Saturday events include a barnfest for the kids, the Flag Raising Ceremony and the Raising of the Midsummer Pole, a Scandinavian dinner and a dance in the evening. Sunday is named Family Value Day where there will be a raffle, a Swedish pea soup lunch and Brent Buswell will entertain on the accordion.
Weekend passes for adults are $6, for youth (6-12) $2 and children under the age of 6 have free admission. Parking per day is $2 or $5 for a weekend pass. Please view the link on the right for more information.
