Brun spent here youth playing guitar and listening to favourites such as Ani DiFranco, Joni Mitchell, Ben Harper, Nick Drake etc. In 1998 she travelled around Spain and made her first appearances performing as a street musician. She later moved to Sweden and released a few EPs on her own before the official debut "Spending Time With Morgan" dropped in May 2003. Numerous tours followed and she was hailed as the scene's most important newcomer. In February 2005 she returned with second album "A Temporary Dive" which featured an appearance by fellow singer/songwriter Ron Sexsmith. The album topped the Norwegian album charts and was released all over Europe.
Ane Brun has just finished the new album Duets. This is a compilation of ten duets, recorded on ten different occasions during one year. The album will be released in Scandinavia the last week of November.
