120 Days rose to fame after their gig at By:Larm in Norway (the Norwegian equivalent to South By Southwest). The band sent shockwaves through a lot of industry people and the gig resulted in the band being booked to the Reading-, Leeds-, and Sonar Festival!
Their name is undoubtedly a reference to Marquis de Sade's work - but also to their 4 months living in a caravan-trailer in Oslo, Norway. During these months, focusing 100% on their music, they were constantly fighting off junkies trying to break in. They had to move out, but by that time both their sound and name was created...
