Nordic Jazz Week 09

The annual Nordic Jazz Week in Washington, D.C. will this year feature bands from all the Nordic countries: Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark and Norway. June 14-19. Tickets available now. After DC, Nils Petter Molvær and Arve Henriksen tour the U.S.

Nordic countries jazz it up once again, this year with all the Nordic countries represented! The Nordic embassies have invited jazz musicians from their respective countries to D.C. for the annual Nordic Jazz festival. The Nordic Jazz week comprises 3 embassy events; the opening at the Finnish Embassy on June 14, and rooftop concerts at House of Sweden on June 16 and 17. In addition, Norway plays at Blues Alley on June 15, and the Swedish band plays at Millennium Stage, Kennedy Center on June 19.

Please note that last year's concerts were sold out. Please get your tickets early.

The concert at the Millennium Stage, Kennedy Center, on June 19 is free, first come first serve.

Some of the Nordic Jazz concerts take place on the rooftop of House of Sweden, overlooking the Potomac river.
