The Amish Project Directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde Extended by Popular Demand

The Amish Project, written and performed by Jessica Dickey and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde, at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre in New York through July 14th.

It was a crime that shook the nation but more surprising was the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. THE AMISH PROJECT is a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines shootings. Seven characters including the gunman’s widow, the gunman and two Amish schoolgirls unravel an extraordinary chain of events. Imbued with poetry and humor, THE AMISH PROJECT examines a community grappling with loss and faith. THE AMISH PROJECT is designed by Lauren Helpern (set and costumes), Nicole Pearce (lighting) and Jill BC DuBoff (sound), stage managed by Kelly Shaffer and represented by Morgan Jenness.

"Jessica Dickey is giving such an extraordinary performance in "The Amish Project" at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater that she makes it easy to overlook something else: the play is also a remarkable piece of writing."    - The New York Times.
