Through exhibitions, installations and experiments the delegates will be challenged to explore the borders of their senses at the Oslo Lighting Festival along the Aker River and in the Norwegian Center for Design and Architecture.
900 delegates from around the world including industrialists, academics and politicians in addition to members of the international design community are expected to take part in the congress. The congress will be held in Oslo September 22-24, before it moves to Helsinki, Gothenburg and comes to a close in Copenhagen.
World Design Congress is developed by 16 leading design organizations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The Norwegian developers are: Norwegian Design Council, Norsk Form, Norwegian Organization of Interior and Architecture (NIL), Norwegian Industrial Designers (NID) and Organization for Visual Communication (GRAFILL).
