State Secretary Kåss opens INTSOK's annual Technology conference
State Secretary from the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Mr Robin Martin Kåss, opened the annual US-Norway technology conference in Houston March 25.
The 11th annual US-Norway technology conference hosted by INTSOK was held in Houston March 25-26. The topic of this year's conference was "Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency" and presented key note speakers from a number of companies in the oil and gas industry as well as research institutions. In his inaugural address, State Secretary Kåss underlined the importance of developing new technologies to enable cleaner production and increase energy efficiency in order to mitigate global warming. The State Secretary also stressed the significance of the shared interests between the US and Norway, and the necessity for the oil and gas industry to maintain a long term perspective in the current difficult economic climate.
