Trygve Morkemo has been awarded with the St. Olav Medal for his outstanding service for Norway in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Norwegian Ambassador visits Seattle and San Francisco

From May 1 to May 3, Norwegian Ambassador to the United States, Wegger Chr. Strommen, meets with leaders of the Norwegian-American community on the West Coast. He also meets with Washington Governor Christine Gregoire and Congressman Rick Larsen (D-WA).

Letter from Ambassador Strommen to the citizens of North Dakota and Minnesota

In April, Ambassador Wegger Chr. Strommen sent letters to some of the people affected by the flood in North Dakota and Minnesota, including Governors Hoeven and Pawlenty. His Majesty King Harald V has appointed Dr. John Hamre Commander of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit for his contribution in promoting relations between Norway and United States.
