Norwegian Photographer's Work to the Singer Museum
The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, Md., also known as the Singer Museum, will show the work of world-renowned photographer Asle Svarverud from April 27 through June.
Asle Svarverud is one of Norway's foremost black and white landscape photographers. He works with large format photography, capturing the Magic of Lofoten, East and West of Norway and Iceland. Lately his theme has developed into abstractions, architecture and industry.
He is scheduled to have an exhibition at the Singer Museum in Hagerstown, Md., which will consist of approximately 40 to 45 framed works of the scenic beauty of island group Lofoten, and other motifs from the east and west of Norway. His black and white photography capture the dramatic patterns in Norwegian nature, and are quiet slices of life of the Norwegian wilderness.
