The Norwegian government has decided to contribute NOK 240 million ($36 million) to a new scheme that will provide highly subsidized loans to the world's poorest countries in the event of an exogenous economic shock.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) presented its economic survey of Norway on Monday 8 August. The survey gives a comprehensive analysis of the Norwegian economy.
Norway has gone from being a poor country to the third richest nation in the world, but still needs to focus on innovation, notes Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Børge Brende.
