Siir Kilkis
Siir Kilkis is Honors Graduate, Science, Technology and International Affairs at the Georgetown University
Siir Kilkis graduated magna cum laude and with honors from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Foreign Service in 2007. Siir also received the medal in her major, the Science, Technology, and International Affairs Medal, for her overall academic excellence and contribution to the field. Her honors thesis developed a management model to reduce CO2 emissions through balancing the supply and demand of resources based on their work potential and energy, namely exergy. Especially in the building sector, such an approach has provided a guide for rewiring the supply of resources to matching demands and vice versa, and to produce a new carbon reduction option, or carbon wedge. This summer, Siir will present the results of her Rational Exergy Management Model (REMM) in the ASHRAE Annual Meeting and the ASME Energy Sustainability Conference where peer-reviewed symposium papers were accepted for publication.
