As the first of its kind, the Scandinavian Renewable Energy Forum has ambitions of becoming the world’s leading meeting place for Executives in the renewable industry. The forum which will be held annually, is based on a “Nordic platform” and features 50 speakers and over 100 exibitors from all over the world.
Renewable Energy and industrial development are at the core of the Scandinavian Government’s energy policy. Over the last years and in the future, large investments have been made and will continue to grow in this sector. For Norway, which hopes to be the apex nation of such development, this forum will allow the international community to take part in, invest and learn from major Scandinavian and other international companies that currently specialize in hydro, wind, biomass and solar-power solutions. Scan-REF is arranged by ABG Sundal Collier, DnB NOR Markets and Norway Trade Fairs.
"In addition to traditional industries such as seafood and shipping, DnB NOR focuses strongly on renewable energy in international markets. Thus, we are looking forward to seeing the most prominent participants in this field here in Norway," says Rune Bjerke, DnB NOR's group chief executive.
After the congress has met, and major themes have been outlined during day one, Scan-REF will hold a Renewable energy Global Investor Seminar on day two. Their goal is to bring renewable energy executives, investors, policy makers and other stakeholders together.
"Several Norwegian companies are now among the best in the world within renewable energy: REC, Elkem, Hydro and NorSun are some prominent examples. Developments within renewable energy have resulted in sustainable development for the Norwegian manufacturing industry. Renewable energy has an enormous future potential, with strong growth for solar, wind and wave energy as well as other sectors," says Jan Petter Collier in ABG Sundal Collier.
According to Scan-REF, the presenting companies will provide insight into the main drivers and key factors to success behind the industries in renewable energy based on the Nordic platform. The investor seminar will give attendees an unique opportunity to listen and interact with Nordic and global senior management, participating at the forum for future industrial development.
