The Norwegian artist Rune Arne Berge Olsen displays his work in the Timeless/Timeliness exhibition at Aljira-A Center for Contemporary Art. The exhibition opens on Thursday, September 9.
Rune Arne Berge Olsen is born in Stord, Norway, and now lives in Jersey City, NJ. He will participate in the exhibition with a sculpture that fits the contemporary profile of the Aljira center. According to their website, Aljira ”seeks out the work of emerging and under-represented artists and brings the work of more established artists to our community. Through the visual arts Aljira bridges racial, cultural and ethnic divides and enriches the lives of individuals.”
The Artists Reception of Emerge 2003 will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Aljira, Center for Contemporary Art. The Gallery’s opening hours are Wednesday – Friday, 12pm - 6pm and Saturday 11am - 4pm.
