Norwegian Culture at Icer Air 2005

The Icer Air ski jump competition will take place in the streets of San Francisco Thursday September 29 at noon. In conjunction with the event and the Norwegian centennial anniversary, the Norwegian Consulate General and the Norway House Foundation are proud to present Norwegian skiing history, culture and traditions.

The event was originally scheduled for August 27, but was postponed in agreement between the city of San Francisco and the event organizers. Because of the postponement, the Norwegian athletes Adreas Wiig and Grete Eliassen unfortunately can not take part in the competition as orginally planned.

Norway and Norwegians will however still give flavor to the event. As sponsors of Icer Air 2005, and as part of the Norwegian centennial anniversary this year, the Norwegian Consulate General and the Norway House Foundation are proud to present Norwegian skiing history, culture and traditions. A video of Norwegian skiing history will also be shown at the event.

Come to Fillmore Street (between Broadway and Green streets) Thursday September 29 at noon and become part of a fantastic chapter of Norwegian-American skiing history! The event is free and there will be entertainment, raffles and much more.
