As a rule you must apply for a visa in person at designated foreign missions. United States citizens can vacation in Norway for up to 90 days without a visa. Read more >

For issuance or renewal of a Norwegian passport you may submit an application in person at the Norwegian Embassy in Washington or the Consulate General in New York, San Francisco, Houston, or Minneapolis. Until November 30, 2009 you may also contact an honorary consulate in your state. Read more >

Photographs for visas must satisfy certain requirements regarding their shape and quality. If the following requirements are not met, the applicant must be asked to present a new photograph that satisfies the requirements. Read more >
