Visa to Norway

As a rule you must apply for a visa in person at designated foreign missions. United States citizens can vacation in Norway for up to 90 days without a visa.

A visa is not required for nationals of countries with which Norway has signed a visa waiver agreement. When a visa is granted it allows travel to all countries in the Schengen area: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Switzerland. Your stay in the Schengen area cannot exceed 90 days in a 180-day period.

Where to apply

Standard processing time for a visa is 10 business days, but may in certain cases be longer.
