Our New Location: "Norway House"

Last updated: 9/24/2010 // The Royal Norwegian Consulate General has moved to a new location.

After 27 years of leasing offices at 2777 Allen Parkway, the Royal Norwegian Consulate General has moved to a newly renovated building, “Norway House”, which is located in an up-and-coming neighborhood in the heart of Houston. The new location is 3410 West Dallas Street, between Waugh Drive and Dunlavy Street. There is guest parking available in the parking garange on the ground floor.

In addition to housing the Norwegian Consulate General, “Norway House” is also the home of Innovation Norway, INTSOK and the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) in Houston. There are also a dozen incubator offices available for small and medium-sized Norwegian companies who want to get established in the area.

“Norway House” is considered an environmental-friendly building and was just recently awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design's (LEED) Gold Certification by the U.S Green Building Council. This makes the Royal Norwegian Consulate General the first foreign consulate, and the second diplomatic building to receive the award within the United States.

The official opening of "Norway House" was held on November 16th, 2010. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Trond Giske was in Houston to represent the Norwegian Ministry at this event.
