Read this information carefully. If the minimum required documentation is not present at time of appointment, the applicant will be turned away and asked to book a new appointment. The Consulate General will not accept any application that is not complete.
A printout of your application must be brought to the appointment at the Consulate General along with the required documentation for your application . All pages must be Letter size. If you have originals in a different format, you must provide a clear and readable copy of that document in Letter size together with the original. The Consulate General must see the original at time of application. Do not use staples or glue. Paperclips only.
As soon as your application is processed, you will recieve an email from the consulate. Do not call to inquire about the status of your application.
General questions may be directed to visa.houston@mfa.no, with the subject line "Visa Enquiry [your last name]". We do not respond to phone enquiries. Enquiries will be handled in the order they are recieved. The Consulate General will respond within 3 business days.
Residence permit applicants to Denmark should not register and pay through application portal Norway. Applicants should pay to the Danish Immigration in Denmark, and bring a receipt of the wire transfer payment along with the application and required documents to the Norwegian Consulate General. Please see this website for information on how to apply and pay. You will also have to pay a handling fee at the Norwegian Consulate. When you are ready to submit your application, then send an e-mail to visa.houston@mfa.no and request an appointment. Before you come to the Houston office, please make sure you have all the required documents with you. If the application is incomplete, you have to come back another day.
