With the Royal Norwegian Consulate General Houston as main organizer, the 11th annual Transatlantic Science Week will be he held in Houston on November 12-16. The main venues of the event will be prestigious Rice University, and top-notch MD Anderson Cancer Center, both situated in the Medical District area of Houston. TSW12 is organized in close cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Washington D.C.

The TSW12 webpage is now launched, and it will be frequently updated with the latest changes in the TSW12 program. Through this website, one can register for the event, read the latest draft program, and book hotels at reduced rates. We strongly advice our participants to read the draft program before registering, as it will provide a detailed overview of the many TSW12 workshops and sessions.

Since its origin in Washington, D.C. in 2002, Transatlantic Science Week has grown to become an institutionalized networking and partnering arena of educational and research collaboration across the Atlantic Ocean. The main themes of the Transatlantic Science Week 2012 will be Energy and Medicine/Health. TSW12 includes several new features, among them a special offer for graduate level students in petroleum technology and geosciences, and a Think Tank panel. The High North/Arctic is included as a topic in a broader manner than usual, reflecting its increased importance in the public debate. TSW12 will also include site visits to regional universities and businesses.
