From February 28 through June 20, 2013, the Ramsey County Historical Society will host "New Land, New Life: Norwegian Immigration in Minnesota 1825-1925" by Sons of Norway, St. Paul Lodge. The exhibit highlights the history, culture, and first-hand accounts of the lives of Norwegian immigrants to Minnesota and St. Paul.

The Norwegian Centennial Chair promotes strategic cooperation in research and academic education between the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), University of Oslo (UiO) and University of Minnesota (UM). A major goal for this international agreement for strategic cooperation is to establish strong, self-sustaining transatlantic research programs in cutting-edge areas. The Transatlantic teams invited to develop collaborative projects in seven focus areas identified as areas of complementary strength: Catalysis for Renewable Energy, Bioresources & Bioenergy, Nano-particles for Drug Delivery, Nutrition & Disease, Systems Neuroscience, Neurodegeneration, and Tools for Computational Biology.
