Did You Know?

Norway Day is a celebration of Norwegian and Norwegian-American heritage. It has been held on the second Sunday in July in Minnehaha Park since 1932 – this will be the 79th observance of Norway Day. The day’s program includes a morning worship service, a noon childrens parade (Barnetog), exhibitors of Norwegian and American crafts, ethnic foods, as well as an afternoon program of Norwegian and Norwegian-American entertainment. Depending upon weather, up to 2,000 persons will enjoy the day.
