WWII in Norway: The Occupation and Resistance

Last updated: 2/22/2013 // The Norwegian-American museum Vesterheim is arranging a trip to Norway focused on the German Occupation of Norway during WWII. The trip dates are June 29 - July 13, 2013.

During the two weeks in Norway the trip members get to immerse themselves in the history of the German occupation of Norway and the Norwegian resistance to Nazi power. The trip visits the most important historic sites in Norway from the occupation including: the Fjell Fortress, a large underground German military complex; the Falstad Center, a prison for military and political prisoners; and several museums focused on the war, the occupation, and the resistance movements.
 
Sign up by March 1st. The trip spots are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
