The Norway Day Festival takes place Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 and lasts from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days. Price is $5 - $15. The festival highlights Norwegian food and beverage, music, dance, arts & crafts and activities for kids.
Savor the best of Norwegian food, music, crafts, and Nordic fashion at Festival Pavillion at Fort Mason Center. Sample fine microbrews from Nøgne Ø, Norway's leading and largest supplier of bottle-conditioned ale and the first and only producer of unfiltered sake in Europe. Enjoy a fabulous fashion show featuring the latest designs from hot designers Mitchi Sportswear, Moods of Norway, and more!
Peppered throughout the pavilion are fascinating exhibits featuring Norwegian art, history, and innovations including an exhibit of rarely seen photographs and artifacts from Roald Amundsen’s polar expeditions on loan from the Royal Norwegian Consulate General. In acknowledging the place lovingly nicknamed "The Land of the Midnight Sun" and both its rich past and traditions, while celebrating the ‘modern Norway,’ this spirited showcase explores many of the innovations and global contributions that Norway has made in recent history.
Norway is consistently ranked one of the best countries in the world to live, and Norwegians are anxious to promote their homeland and invite everyone to come and enjoy their culture, traditions, and to see what’s new! Celebrate Norway without stepping foot on a plane! Vær så god (you're welcome).
