Adventures in Polar Exploration with Børge Ousland

Norwegian polar explorer Børge Ousland will present his latest adventures and explorations at the Campbell Hall in Santa Barbara March 3, and at the Mesa Arts Center in Phoenix, March 6.

Ousland, an audience favorite for his charismatic and compelling presentations, will report on his latest expeditions, including his observations on climate change in the polar regions. The presentation includes film and photos directly from the field.

Heir to a great Norwegian tradition of polar voyages, Ousland has made 18 expeditions to the North Pole and six to the South Pole. He has made more solo expeditions to the Poles than anyone else. Being a former Marinejeger (similar to a Navy Seal), Ousland has the physical toughness to survive extreme conditions, as he has demonstrated during his 25 years of experience at high latitudes.

March 3 at 3:00 p.m., Ousland will lecture at the Campbell Hall at the University of California in Santa Barbara. For information and tickets, click here.

March 6 at 5:30 p.m., Ousland is lecturing in Phoenix at the Mesa Arts Center. You can find more information about tickets and Ousland here.

National Geographic's popular speaker series brings entertaining and visually spectacular presentations by dynamic National Geographic Explorers, scientists, photographers and filmmakers to the public. On March 3 and March 6, The Norwegian Polar Explorer, Børge Ousland, comes to the West Coast to talk about his latest adventures and explorations.
