The movie Headhunters, based on Jo Nesbø’s best-selling thriller from 2008, is opening in New York and Los Angeles April 27, 2012. The following months it will be in theatres all around the country. It will open May 4th in the Bay Area; in Landmark's Clay Theatre in San Francisco and Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley.

About the movie:
Roger (Aksel Hennie) is a man who seems to have it all: he is Norway's most successful headhunter, married to the beautiful gallery-owner Diana (Synnøve Macody Lund), owns a magnificent villa - but living larger than he should. To keep up he is stealing art on the side. At a gallery opening, his wife introduces him to Clas Greve (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Not only is he the perfect candidate for the CEO position of the GPS company Pathfinder that Roger is currently recruiting for; he is also in possession of a very valuable painting. Roger sees his chance to become financially independent, and starts planning his biggest hit ever. He soon runs into trouble - and it's not financial problems that are threatening to knock him over this time. The headhunt has begun.
Directed by Morten Tyldum, written by Lars Gudmestad and Ulf Ryberg, the film stars Aksel Hennie (MAX MANUS: MAN OF WAR, UNO), Synnøve Macody Lund, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones, Oblivion, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BLACK HAWK DOWN).

Morten Tyldum is a highly sought-after commercial director, and is a partner and director in the production company Einar film og fortellinger. Previously, he directed his breakthrough film Buddy (2003), which is considered a turning point in recent Norwegian film history. He also directed Fast Forward (2000) and Fallen Angels (2008), which was nominated for five Amanda Awards. His confident style and talent for action and humor has made him the director of choice for some of the most expensive and influential commercials ever produced in Norway.
