Love, laughs, inspiration and powerful emotional journeys take center stage in this year's Scandinavian film line-up - featuring discoveries from Norway, Denmark and Iceland.

The Cinequest Film Festival is an excellent venue for the discovery of new and emerging film and film artists. Over the course of 13 days, 200 international films will be presented at various theaters in San Jose, with more than 600 film artists, technologists and professionals from 44 countries in attendance at the various screenings and events. The broad range of international movies also includes the screening of the following Scandinavian films:

THE ALMOST MAN (Mer Eller Mindre mann) by director Martin Lund (2012), tells the story of Henrik, who is about to become a father for the first time. His uneasy feelings about becoming an adult make him act out in hilariously inappropriate ways. This offbeat comedy tells a tale of a man's long road toward maturity, and how hard it can be for some individuals to face the prospect of growing up. “The Almost Man” won the prizes for best movie and best actor at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in The Czech Republic.

Will they ever meet again?
