On September 18th, the first Medicine, Energy, Space and Technology Conference (MEST Conference) was staged at Rice University. Experts from the respective fields were gathered with the purpose to accelerate innovation and share knowledge. The Norwegian Consulate General was one of the sponsors for the event, as a part of our close relationship with Rice University. Read more
After successfully hosting the Congress in 1987, Houston is again trying to convince the World Petroleum Council that Houston is the best alternative for the prestigious World Petroleum Congress (WPC) in 2017. Houston is competing with Istanbul, Turkey, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Astana, Kazakhstan to host WPC in 2017. Read more
The fourth in the monthly series of Lunch’n Learn events was hosted at Norway House on September 18th, in cooperation with INTSOK, Innovation Norway and the NACC. This event featured Dr. Dag Nummedal, a Norway born expert on carbon capture and sequestration, based at Colorado School of Mines. Read more
The world premiere of Ida Helene Heidel’s new piece "Crescent" was held in New Orleans at the 41st Annual National Flute Association Convention on August 9. It was performed by the Orchestre de Flûtes Français. Read more
Held for the 57th time, the annual Sister Cities International’s Conference took place in San Antonio on July 12-13. This year’s theme was “The Power of Exchange: Creating Sustainable Cities & Sustainable Relationships”. Our Consul General, Dr. Jostein Mykletun, and his wife Sonia attended the Conference. Read more
