A symposium about the iconic design of international affairs. Follow the interesting discussion this Wednesday, May 15th, 6 PM at the Center for Architecture in NYC. Remember to RSVP for the event at www.aiany.org
Join us for a panel discussion about the UN Security Council Chamber’s architectural, artistic and political history. Designed by Arnstein Arneberg in 1952 as a gift from Norway to the United Nations – then lead by the UN’s first Secretary-General, the Norwegian Trygve Lie – the UN Security Council Chamber inspires efforts toward international peace and understanding.
On April 16, 2013, after a three-year renovation process, the Chamber was re-opened by the UN Secretary-General, H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon and the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mr. Espen Barth Eide.
A custom drink inspired by power and architecture will be created especially for the occasion by bartender Toby Cecchini.
