On Sunday, February 26th from 3:00 - 7:00 the Scandinavian East Coast Museum will be holding their Annual Fastelavn Celebration (Danish Mardi Gras) at the Danish Athletic Club, located at 735 - 65th Street. All are invited to come and celebrate this wonderful tradition.

'Crisis and Critique' is a video and audio-sculptural installation by Per-Oskar Leu. Exhibition Dates: 10-19 February 2012. Opening Reception: Friday February 10 at 7pm.

Julie Engaas' short film "Sound Shadows" will be part of the annual ReelAbilities film festival. The documentary will be shown Saturday February 11 at 2 pm at Cullen Library and 4 pm at the JCC in Manhattan.

The Norwegian short film ”Tuba Atlantic” was nominated for an Oscar today, after being named best foreign student film at the 38th Annual Student Academy Awards last summer. Director Hallvar Witzø is ecstatic over being nominated for best short film, both for himself and for Norway as a film nation.
