In 2010, the hottest Norwegian export is not petroleum or fish…it’s design.
Norwegian Design and Architecture has received a lot of attention in the last years, and 2010 is no exception. With three Norwegian participants in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and five Norwegian projects shown at this years Cooper Hewitt National Design Triennial "Why Design Now?" it's safe to say – to borrow from a common Norwegian expression – that Norwegian design “is in the wind”.
This May 12th event at Snøhettas offices in the financial center of Manhattan is a collaborative effort between the Royal Norwegian Consulate General and Innovation Norway, and an opportunity for Norwegian designers to meet representatives from local institutions, and the local media.
