The Norwegian fashion designer Nina Skarra is among a carefully selected designers to participate in the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Skarra’s show is scheduled for 8th September at 1:00 AM at the Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center.
The collection shown at New York Fashion Week will be accompanied by shoe designer Ingunn Birkeland and jewelry designer Kathrine Lindman. Birkeland is an Oslo-based designer who has become well known for her colorful shoes, while Lindman has received attention for her delicate jewelry inspired by nature. Together they will form a Norwegian take on fashion.
Skarra’s design is characterized as typically Scandinavian, has an emphasis on quality fabrics and an ethical profile focusing on a sustainable production process.
This is not the first time Skarra shows her exclusive creations in New York. In May 2012 she launched her line “Pure Fashion” in the residence of the Norwegian Consulate General. Among the famous faces present at the event was Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess of Norway.
