Rebecca Dinerstein received a scholarship from Yale University to go anywhere in the world. She decided to spend a year in the very north of Norway, on top of the world, surrounded by high, snowy mountains and almost no people. Lofoten is a book of poetry about Dinerstein’s Norwegian impressions and her debut.
The bilingual book, with poems both in Norwegian and English, was launched a few months ago in Norway and has received a lot of attention. It is the first time ever in Norway that a poetry book by an American is released straight into the Norwegian market without first being translated from English.
To celebrate the launch of the book in the US there will be a book release party at the Strand Bookstore at November 7, 6:30pm.
