With the six books long My Struggle, Karl Ove Knausgård has been hailed as one of the most important Norwegian writers of the 2000’s. It’s been decades since any Norwegian work of literature has been debated as much Knausgård's work. Sunday the 23rd of September Knausgård will be one of the headliners at the annual Brooklyn Book Fair.
Close to 500.000 copies of the My Struggle books have been sold in Norway and he has gained much acclaim from both Norwegian and international critics. It is considered extremely ambitious and highly relevant. The work has amongst other things blurred out the lines between intimate experiences and the universal.
