Kick is a choir from Nanset Church in Larvik, Norway. You can meet them at Westpoint, at a concert in Eisenhower Hall Theatre Thursday 22nd September at 7.30 pm. Glee Club, Westpoint’s own student’s choir will join them in the consert. Admission is free.
"In 2011 we are celebrating our 10th anniversary, and 98 of totally 150 members will celebrate this in a special way. Seeking new inspiration through music and people we meet, as well as sharing the joy we have found in the songs we sing, we are heading for New Orleans and New York in September.
Gospel music is closest to our hearts, but we also enjoy singing popular music, jazz, even madrigals and Norwegian folk music.
The small singing-project that started in 2001 has grown strong and important in our town. Ordinary people from a wide range of professions, and with a blend of experienced and unexperienced singers, makes a mixture that the audience wants to listen to over and over again. We hope and believe that we also will be able to move the listeners in a country far away from home. Maybe even give them a little «kick»?
