Kjersti Kveli and the KK GROUP –Annual Concert & Special Event at the Norwegian Church!

Norwegian and New York based singer/songwriter Kjersti Kveli together with her band the KK GROUP, will joyfully give their annual concert at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church on Wednesday April 24th – at 7pm. There will be gifts, surprises and very importantly: very special guests – The Bell Cycle! Consisting of cellist Isabel Castellvi and guitarist and vocalist Rob Chamberlain.

In October of 2011, Kjersti was asked to sing one of her songs for the King and the Queen of Norway, during their visit to New York. In that regards Kjersti wrote a new song especially for that event, a song about young girls, and boys for that matter, that will become the mothers and the fathers of the future, both literally and figuratively. It is a blessing and a prayer, as well as a tribute to these young ones, who will change and bring forth a more feminine leadership, powerful and loving. The song is Kjersti’s first single, named “Lenger enn Langt”, which was also arranged and performed with a full orchestra in May 2012, with the Namdal Symphony Orchestra in Norway.

The KK GROUP consists of sought after musicians from USA, Japan and Norway: Phil Rowan-bass, Anders Griffen-drums, Asami Tamura–keys and toys, Nicole Camacho–flute and vocals, Tor Morten Kjøsnes-guitar.
The KK GROUP released their first full length album in November 2012, named “Release the Virgin”, which can be bought on iTunes, or directly from the artists here: www.kkgroup.bandcamp.com
