"The Baronesse - Karen Blixen", by Jeanne Bøe; A monologue about Karen Blixen's life, her life as an author and her time in Africa performed at the Norwegian Seamens's Church in NYC this October.
The story is being told through pictures, voiceovers and film scenes. Dialogues and monologues, and through the letters she wrote to her brother Tommy, while living in Africa. She became a woman that made her mark in the world of literature, with books like Babettes feast, Seven Gothic Tales and Out of Africa.
The performance is in English and premiered in Skien, Norway, and later toured in Hamburg and Berlin. In October you may experience the monologue in New York and New Orleans.
