ISCP has hosted more than 850 artists and curators from over 50 countries who have significantly contributed to New York's art community. The program is designed to connect ISCP participants to local institutions, key professionals and a broad range of international visitors. The interaction between artists, curators and critics at ISCP creates opportunities that support every stage of artistic production and development, offering career advancing exchanges such as long-term collaborations and exhibition participation.
Øystein Aasan received his education at the National Academy of the Arts, Oslo. He has since exhibited in a number of venues both on a national and international level, such as the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, Oslo, Norway; Rogaland Art Center, Stavanger, Norway; Stenersen Museum, Oslo, Norway; Sørlandets Art Museum, Kristiansand, Norway; Sparwasser HQ, Berlin, Germany; Kunstverein Arnsberg, Arnsberg, Germany and La Vitrine, Paris, France. He has also published texts in magazines such as Spike Art Quarterly, Neue Review, Umelec, Billedkunst and Kunstkritikk.no.
Peter Amdam is an Oslo-based critic, writer and curator. He has written on contemporary art, literature and fashion, with a specific interest in where art intersects with certain poststructuralist and contemporary theories. He is also an occasional collaborator of the artist Matias Faldbakken. Amdam has a diverse background: he has worked in fashion magazines, and is a well-known figure in the hardcore music scene.
