Lars Laumann will have his debut solo exhibition in New York at the Foxy Production gallery through March 27th. Opening reception for the artist on Friday March 5th, 6-8 PM.
Norwegian artist Lars Laumann draws inspiration from the outskirts of popular culture. By sampling and reediting, he creates works that take form as installations or videos. Mixing different media and techniques, he creates idiosyncratic worlds, that are at times absurd and unsettling revelations of our collective modern mythologies.

His works have been shown at Maureen Paley in London and Galway Arts Centre in Ireland. He has participated in group shows at Marian Goodman in New York, Kunsthalle Basel in Switzerland and the 5th Berlin Biennale. In the near future, he will have solo shows at Winterthur Kunsthalle in Switzerland and of course at Foxy Production New York – opening on February 19, 2010.
