Outdoor Art & Sculpture Exhibition in Boston

HarborArts reached a milestone this January, and Boston is witnessing the realization of a dream as art installations begin for the Outdoor Sculpture Gallery in the Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina in East Boston. A story that began a little more than one short year ago in this Shipyard with one man and a big fish (link to making of cod) now continues with that very same Codfish as the first installation at the emerging Outdoor Sculpture Gallery in the Boston Harbor Shipyard & Marina in East Boston.

Christina Lanzl of Urban Arts Institute of Massachusetts College of Art & Design spearheaded the Call to Artists resulting in a world-wide response from over 50 artists. Submissions were received from nationally recognized artists as well as student artists and included existing works as well as site-specific proposals. The judging of the submissions was presided over by Randi Hopkins, Associate Curator at Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art.
